A filmmaker by heart, Dave became a successful thespian when it was the only creative performance venue available. This allowed him to hone his acting, producing, casting, directing, and even writing skills when he became a proficient short play writer. While directing and producing several very successful plays and theatre productions, he brought together the masses of theatrefolk with filmmakers in the area by spearheading efforts to exchange talents through creating films. In turn, this lead to work on several film projects including competitions, festivals, films, series, and even interviews with headliners at Lucy Fest in Jamestown, NY.
He is the founder of Binary Sun Cinematics and continues to work with many film companies in the area.
Aside from filmmaking and live theatre, Dave is also involved in several artistic and community endeavors in and around DuBois including The Downtown DuBois Revitalization Group, the DuBois Area Historical Society’s annual Lantern Walk, the Downtown DuBois Art walk on the Block, and the DuBois Area Mural Project firstname.lastname@example.org. He stresses the importance of being a team player and focuses on the collective outcome of a project rather than the individual accolades.
