The 44th Annual Bark Peeler’s Festival, Honoring Pennsylvania’s Lumbering Heritage, was held on Saturday July 7th and Sunday July 8th, 2018. This festival treated thousands of visitors to lively special events, contests, and demonstrations all celebrating “woodhick” skills. Unique food and craft vendors provided guests with ample shopping and culinary opportunities. There was live music throughout the weekend, crafts and games at the kid’s corner, an operating steam-powered circular sawmill and birch still, blacksmithing, chainsaw carving, and door prizes.
NAFCo had a booth at theffestival and was recruiting people who ight be interested in joining the organization and participating in the production of “Heartwood.”
